Artists Guilds-

GEAG www.geag.net Artists Guild in Belleville, Illinois $35.00 a year membership. Monthly meetings, art critiques, contests, vendor event opportunities, gallery opportunities, volunteer opportunities, community support, workshops and classes, and guest speakers. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month from 6-8 pm at the PSOP center in downtown Belleville, Illinois.

Artists Guild of Southern Illinois–  www.artisansil.org   Monthly meetings, workshops, study groups, artists’ demonstrations, community support. Located at 317 N. County Road, Mascoutah, Illinois. Second and Last Thursdays of each month from 6:30 – 9:30 pm. Social media @artistsguildofsouthernillinois

StLouisArtistsguild.org – St. Louis Artists Guild is an excellent organization for local classes, exhibits and supports local afterschool programs at Adams Elementary, Adapt of Missouri, Free Family Saturdays, Conversations on Creativity, St. Louis County Library Digital Drawing Classes, Youth and Family Center Jazzy Seniors Program, Creative Castle, Little Readers Festival, Sci-Fest at the Science Center. There is a yearly membership available on the site.

SLLAG – Saint Louis Ladies Artist Guild. www.stlartguild.com – A Saint Louis, MO artists guild for women and individuals who identify as female in the Saint Louis area. Free to sign up on the website. Opportunities for exhibitions, community through Discord channels, a private Facebook group, and more. Meetings are held on the last Monday of each month, potluck style, and the location is posted in the private FB group.

www.Artonthesquare.com Downtown Belleville’s yearly juried artists vendor event. Applications open every fall, and the event is held every spring. You can find them on social media as well. 

www.studentcenter.siu.edu offers an online application and information about three artists ‘ vendor-selling events held on campus in Carbondale, Illinois. The events are held in September, December, and February. The fees for the events, as well as more information on dates and how to apply, can be found online. 

Saint Louis Art Fair www.saintlouisartfair.com – Opportunity for artists to display, sell, and compete for prizes and accolades. Held every September of each year. 

The Edwardsville Art Fair www.edwardsvilleartcenter.comis held as a yearly event in downtown Edwardsville, Illinois. 

The Queeny Art Fair www.queenyartfair.org – The Queeny Art Fair is a yearly art fair held in August and is located in Manchester, MO, presenting St. Louis artists. Applications typically open in the spring. It’s held in an indoor, climate-controlled building. Includes live music, art demos, and more. 

Midwest Salute to the Arts Festival www.midwestsalute.comA yearly art festival held at the end of August in Fairview Heights, Illinois. You can find them on Instagram @midwestsalute Located at 525 S Ruby Ln, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Art Crush STL – This is a unique experience of art networking like never seen before. It operates like speed dating, but you’re connecting with other artists, writers, designers, poets, directors, chefs, dancers, sculptures, musicians, art organizers, curators and more. These are held once a month in STL, the location varies per month, and the tickets are free with an emphasis of pay what you can. Missouri Plien Air Association-  Has a Sunday and Wednesday group that meets up to paint or draw. The Sunday group is posted every Sunday at www.missouripleinair.com  The Wednesdays group posts their location on Facebook

www.pmp-art.com – Online website and social platform where you can use pictures to work on art studies. Restrictions do apply for pictures, and the images are not royalty-free. However, it is a good place to get photos to practice drawing a subject.

www.deviantart.com  – Online social platform and website where artists can interact with other artists, get critiques, create and sell digital items, journal about artistic experience, enter contests, etc. Free unless you pay for one of the optional yearly subscription tiers. 

www.culturalyst.com – Culturalyst is an online platform offering a unique way to network and connect with other artists in the St. Louis area. To apply for the social networking site, you must live in the St. Louis area and provide your address. 

www.artistsnetwork.com Artists Network is an online platform for publishing and getting live feedback from other artists. They also have competitions. 

@artopencalls-  This account can be found on Instagram. This is a fantastic resource for open call opportunities for writers and artists.
