Congratulations to Peggy Derhake whose piece, “Under the Ginkgo Tree” has been accepted into this show. The show will run from August 9 through August 26, 2023 in the M. G. Nelson Gallery at the Springfield Art Association located at 700 N. Fourth Street, Springfield, IL, less than two miles from the Illinois State Fairgrounds. A reception and awards presentation will be held on Friday, August 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the Springfield Art Association.

Green Door Art Gallery, 21 N. Gore, Webster Groves, MO, celebrates its 10th anniversary with a reception for the artists whose work was selected by juror Marilynne Bradley for Secret St. Louis, a special exhibition on July 15, 5-8pm. Although my painting shown in the photo is not part of the special exhibit it will be making its debut that evening along with a few plein air sketches that I have not shown before. The exhibit runs through August 26. Tower of Power, 30″x30″, oil, 2023. Interior background, dog photos source: Shutterstock.
