Add a directory listing and showcase your art. You can edit anytime! Just log in and visit your directory listing.

You’ll receive our monthly newsletter via email. 

Monthly meetings take place at the SWIC PSOP building at 201 N Church Street in Belleville on the first Wednesday of each month from 6-8pm.

If the meeting needs to be cancelled due to inclement weather or other issues, you will be notified via E-mail. If the meeting is moved to Zoom, you will also be notified by email.

Our monthly meetings include a short business meeting, an art demonstration/presentation as well as an attendance prize & 50/50 raffle. For the attendance prize, sign in on the numbered list and if your number is called at the end of the meeting you win $5! 50/50 tickets are $1 each or 3 for $2. The drawing for 1/2 the money happens at the end of the meeting.

BRING ART!

At each monthly meeting (except December and our annual silent auction month) members may bring one piece of art to enter in our Monthly Art Show. Members vote by ballot for their three favorite pieces. (Ballots without 3 different numbers will not count) These will determine a first, second,  third place winner. Winners will be announced & ribbons awarded. The art will also be gently critiqued.

Toot Your Horn

We love to post your achievements and include them in the monthly newsletter., so if you are accepted into a show, win an award, or have any other art-related accomplishment, let us know here.

Art Shows

Periodically the Guild will sponsor art shows for members to enter. In the past they have been held at Lady of Snows Shrine and Edwardsville Art Center. Future shows will be held at SWIC’s Schmidt Art Center and various other location. Show entry details will be available on the website, via the newsletter, and in person at meetings. Framing requirements/how to instructions will be available on the website in the show information.

Artist of the Month

You may volunteer to be “Artist of the Month” & display your work in the hallway of the PSOP building for one month. Sign up at a monthly meeting.

Art Workshops

Periodically the guild offers art workshops to members, costs vary. Each October GEAG hosts an Art Sampler with weekly mini-classes on a variety of mediums.
