Homan

I acquired a BA in Studio Art with a minor in Art History at Augustana College in 1975. My personal artwork has involved a range of style and mediums over the years including silk screen printing, sumi ink and paper collage, nature photography and most recently, watercolor. My motivation to do art is linked to how I feel when I’m in the creative process. The serenity and discovery of understanding what the various mediums can do engage my intuitive vision. The magic of the unexpected encourages exploration of a medium that is still teaching me what it will do. My professional career demanded attention to detail, and my works often reflect the details I seem to crave. Since I believe that learning new things is always the right choice, my future goal is to master loose watercolor techniques guided by intuition rather than detailed observation. Most importantly, I am here to enjoy my creative process.
