January Member Meeting with Gabe Drueke, Painter

Gabe Drueke, the Smithton, IL-based artist’s paintings can be recognized by their “bright colors, high contrast, bold lines and an impeccable attention to craftsmanship.” While colorful murals and hand-painted signs have been his professional mainstays for 25 years, his recent exploration of abstract acrylic canvases has garnered attention and awards. Utilizing tools that are familiar to his hand – lettering and pin-striping brushes – Gabe’s subjective works reveal a unique visual flavor.
