Art is my full-time hobby aside from my full time job of managing two medical offices. Being a self-taught artist, I love to create large, bold art. I rarely start my paintings with a plan but more of a feeling. I let the art go where it may and show me what it needs to become. I guess this is what one calls the intuitive side of painting.
I use mostly acrylic, but you might find paper, house paint, charcoal marks, pen and pencil marks, acrylic inks, pastels and oil sticks all used in my art. I love to write messages in my art. Sometimes these are hidden and sometimes in plain sight. These messages usually come from a feeling, what’s been on my mind, interactions with others, music, world news and anywhere else that makes them suddenly pop into my head. I paint to make to make myself happy. I paint as therapy. I share my art with others to make them feel anything…. just something.
