September Member Meeting: Harriett Zipfel

GEAG welcomes Harriett Zipfel, a Smithton based fiber artist, to the September 3 membership meeting. Harriett’s art career initially began with quilting as a form of therapy, and then it became a passion. She has continued to develop her own style of sculptural rope basketry. In 2024 her work was featured in a group exhibit at the Longview Farmhouse Gallery in Town & Country, MO. Most recently she became a member artist of the SAA collective gallery in downtown Springfield, IL. Harriett is a member of several quilting and fiber arts associations including the Weavers Guild of St. Louis. She also teaches classes, speaks to local organizations and posts her activities on her social media accounts as Dragonfly Textile Arts.

GEAG meetings are always held on the first Wednesday of the month at the P.S.O.P. Building, 201 N. Church Street, Belleville, IL, 6-8pm.
