Soulard Art Gallery’s Politically Incorrect Correct show, from August 8 to September 12, 2025, features an artwork by Paula Homan. The mixed media piece is based on quotes and visual references to William Golding’s Lord of the Flies, addressing tribalism, the battle to be the strongest voice, and how power slips or flips with unexpected consequences. The position of chief is precariously held only as long as favorable circumstances allow. Mob mentality can undercut a chief’s rule with chaotic and deadly results.
