Description An open exhibition to all artists in all media presented by the Gateway East Artists Guild of Belleville, IL

Time and Place May 9 - June 9, 2008

Gallery hours are: Mon - Thur (9:00 am – 9:00 pm) Fri (9:00 am – 6:00 pm) Sat (9:00 am – 4:00 pm) Sun (CLOSED)

Eligibility All artists 21 years or older residing in the St Louis Metropolitan/Metro-East areas. Students may enter work produced independent of instruction.

Requirements A maximum of two (2) entries per artist Artwork must have been produced in the past 2 years. No wet paintings

Final installed size limit with frame inclusive not to exceed 120 united inches. (united inches are the total number of inches around the outside of a frame)

All work must be framed appropriately for the medium. Hanging work MUST have all hardware properly attached and ready to hang.

NO SAWTOOTH HANGERS OR CLIPS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Three-dimensional work may not exceed 36" in any dimension or 50 pounds and must fit through a standard doorway.

GEAG reserves the right to reject deficiently-prepared work and work that is considered unsuitable for display. Fees will be forfeited.

GEAG also reserves the right to accept or reject unsuitable or offensive subject matter.

GEAG will not assume responsibility for sale of artwork. Each individual artist is responsible for his/her transaction. There is NO COMMISSION on sales. Prices will be listed in the program. Permission to publish contact information for each submitting artist is required for GEAG to place prospective buyers in contact with the exhibiting artist for impending sales. Any work sold, must remain until the close of the show unless it is an out of state buyer. In that case, another piece of artwork must replace it.

Late applications will not be accepted.

GEAG will safeguard artwork with due diligence but does not take any responsibility for damage beyond its control.

REQUIRED: Artist must submit the proper entry form will all pertinent information by the required deadline.

For notification, artist must submit phone number and e-mail information if available.

Submission of an entry implies consent to these terms.

CALENDAR

Wednesday, April 2, 2008 Pre-registration deadline, entry form and fee.

Delivery of artwork: Wednesday, May 7, 2008 NOON - 7PM and Thursday NOON - 4PM

Formal Reception: Sunday afternoon May 11 from 2Pm till 4Pm

Show Closes: June 9, 2008

All work must be picked up on Monday June 9, 2008 between Noon and 7:00 pm or become property of GEAG if no prior arrangements are made.
