Pouring Project with Joye Moon
Reference Photos. You will be working on a sheet of
watercolor board, which you can buy from me at the workshop.
The size is 16”x20”. Any subject will do. You can bring
watercolor paper but it must be stretched and dry before you
Bring your standard watercolor supplies.
At least 3 small containers to mix paint. These can be glass or
plastic but needs to have a lid that will secure the paint.
Bring your tube paint for mixing. Paint already in your palette will
not be enough and is difficult to get into jars.
BUT DO BRING YOUR PALETTE AS WELL!
Masking fluid: you will need good masking fluid. I will have this to
buy if needed. Good brands that work for this project are, Winsor
Newton, incredible white.
DO NOT BRING PEBEO, FRISKET OR THE PINK COLORED ONE.
You will need a small metal palette knife. I will have these for sale
of you need one.
A container to catch the poured paint. You can just use the top of
your palette. Some use a butcher tray or cookie sheet.
A large brush: a 2” or larger soft watercolor brush will be needed.
I have some for sale but do not bring a bristle brush used for oil
paint of painting your house.
Rubber cement pick up to remove masking fluid. I will have these for
sale as well if needed.
